Why is it that looking at facebook makes me feel more rather than less lonely?
Feeling slightly glum and under the weather. Maybe I'll just go back to bed.

What a Dork...
She forgot to explain the rules for the Meme from last post. Here they are:
- Answer the questions below.
- Type your answers into Photobucket.
- Pick a picture from the results and post it as the answer.
So I'm not as weird as you all thought. Sorry.
On a happy note, I finally organized my music. I found a ton of stuff I didn't even know existed, especially stuff from camp 2 summers ago. And now I'm going to go write something. I am! I swear!

Long time no blog
Life has been super crazy for a while, but it's finally settled down into some semblance of normalcy. Basically, in the last few months I've moved shop to LA and started work in the industry. Cole's down here too, and we've basically been nomadic for the past few weeks. Some time spent in Irvine at home, some spent crashing on friend's floors in LA, and some spent at my sister's house in Claremont. For a while, I was pretty sure I wouldn't be able to live with my mom or sis since the commute would be approximately 2 hours. Turns out, though, that I got an internship that enables me to live wherever I damn want.
Which brings me to the internship. I am currently an unpaid employee (can you be an employee if you're unpaid?) at a small studio in Santa Monica. It's actually a pretty fun and laid back environment, and after an initial run around, they offered me this pretty nice job reading scripts and writing synopsis and comments. I'm technically a development intern, which means if we end up choosing a script soon, I could potentially get a credit on the film. That's right baby. A credit. On a movie. A real one.
Best part about the job is, I get to work from home a lot of the time. Since it's basically just reading scripts, I only need to go into the office once or twice a week. Pretty fantastic. No hellacious commute, which means I get to live with my sister and my sister's dogs (yippee!)
So I've painted a wall and made it my own. I'm settling in at my internship, and basically, life is pretty sweet. It'll be sweeter when I have money, but hey, nothing's perfect.
Except this comic. Which is awesome.

Crazy jetsetting
I feel like I haven't stopped moving around since Christmas. I went from the cabin to San Luis Obispo to home, back up to the bay area, then to New Orleans, then back to Sunnyvale. On top of that, I also leave for Orlando the day after tomorrow. Talk about craziness.
Over the break, the following things happened:
Had Christmas
Got fun presents (like a camera)
Was a bridesmaid at a wedding
Spent New Years Eve working (grrr...)
Watched a championship college football game
Ate my first Muffaletta
Received a drunken compliment (insult?) on my badonkadonk
Battled stomach issues
Tried not to worry too much about the future
On the whole, sort of an interesting balance of good and bad. But really, I've been having a great time, and I can't wait for Orlando.

Footprints?
So I'm alone at my cabin till my family comes up on tomorrow, and I've been having a fun time putting around and getting stuff clean. That is, until I woke up this morning and saw footprints around the house. Needless to say, I was slightly creeped out. I mean, there are plenty of innocent reasons they could be there, like a neighbor chasing a runaway pet or some such. Why is it that my mind immediately jumps to the conclusion that it's a SCARY PERSON DETERMINED TO HURT ME?
I guess I'm just paranoid like that. I am just being paranoid right? RIGHT?
Sigh, I'm gonna go play some Sims and lock myself in tight tonight.

Damn it feels good to be a gangsta
Cole and I finished rough drafts of two scripts today, our pilot and a spec script for Pushing Daisies. These projects both still require a TON of work, but it's really satisfying to at least have a rough draft done. We've had good days and bad days, but now, no matter what happens, we'll have something to show for our time up here.
I'm still trying to decide whether or not to post any of our writing up here. At this point, it's probably still too rough, but maybe in the future. It would be nice to get some feedback.
But yeah. Cole and I are ballers. Or is it Ballahs? I should really stop trying to type like this, it's definitely not my forte...
